Jaguar F-Pace SVR

Most people think SUV’s are just family cars and that’s understandable as they aren’t as aggressive as other sports or supercars. SUV are large vehicles that weigh several of tons. It requires more power to run an SUV than a sedan or coupe cars, and some vehicles barely hold onto that. Most SUV isn’t built for speed, but this notion fails when it comes to Jaguar’s latest 2018 F-Pace. The new F-Pace titled SVR is the most powerful and fastest version of the F-Pace to hit the roads. The 0-60 is covered in just 4.1 seconds, which is an amazing feat considering it’s an SUV, not a sedan.

This has been only possible due to the mighty engine, improved chassis and aerodynamics improvement on the vehicle that’s Jaguar has installed in their vehicle. The SVR treatment on F-Pace has been given by the Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle operations, the F-Pace has a 44% more power than the standard version. The aggressiveness of SVR F-Pace comes from a 5.0-liter V8 supercharged petrol engine under the hood. The 5.0-litre engine produces about 542 BHP of power and 680 Nm of peak torque. The SVR has 170 BHP more power than the F-Pace S. The power from the wheel is transmitted to the engine with the help of an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The engine produces enough power to accelerate this beast from a still position to crossing the 60 MPH benchmark in just 4.1 seconds with 176 MPH being the highest. This makes the F-Pace SVR as one of the fastest SUVs in the market. The chassis has seen major improvements both in the rear and front springs are 10 and 30 percent stiffer than the standard. The car has a matching handling and agility with its performance. Everything in the car has been fine-tuned for better performance and control.

In terms of the exterior of the car, the stricture is pretty much the same as a standard F-Pace, with some changes to the aerodynamics of the car. The most notable changes are in the air intakes in the front and vents on the side fenders. All these changes contribute to the higher stability of the vehicle. That’s all on the engine and designing of the car. But there is another thing that makes use of the power produced by the engine and that too is sportier in the SVR than the standard. It rides on a 21/22 inch forged rims both in the front and rear with rear ones 25mm wider than the front to enhance the handling.

In the inside, you get slimline performance front seats and sporty rear seats, SVR braided steering wheel, aluminum paddle shifter, 10-inch touch Pro infotainment system, 12-inch instrument cluster, 4G Wi-Fi hotspot that supports up to 8 devices.

F-Pace SVR is the first in the F-Pace family that has the Electronic Active Differential. Other technologies include Adaptive Dynamics suspension, Electronic Power Assisted Steering, Dynamic Driving Mode, and intelligent Driveline Dynamics. All in all the new F-Pace SVR is much powerful, aggressive, responsive, and agile version of the F-Pace and takes the family to a whole new level. The F-Pace SVR will be available from summer 2018 at a price of £74,835 in the UK.
