The Velar comes with three engine options- 2.0-liter gas or diesel V4 engine and a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged gas engine. All engine variants give excellent torque and power with 3.0 liter topping the marks of 380 horsepower and 332 pound-feet torque. The engine can reach the top speed of 155 MPH and from 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. Though it may not feel impressive in respect to a sports car, here you are moving a 4500 pounds giants. This may well as be one of the fastest SUVs in the market. Along with the speed, the V4 and V6 lightweight aluminum engines also take cares of the environment by lowering the CO2 emissions.
The drive is also quicker and responsive with ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. Velar is a four-wheel drive vehicle, meaning the power from the engine is directly supplied to all the wheels. Intelligent Driveline Dynamics reads the road conditions and ensures that the right amount of power is supplied to the wheels. Moreover, the versatility of the Velar is unmatched as you can change the seating to 3-seater, 5-seater or 2 seats to make space for storage.
